The Internet Has Outdone Itself Over That Thing Obama Said In His ‘State Of The Union’
So. Many. Memes.
Like any time Obama steps up to to a mic, yesterdays’ State of the Union was pretty damn great. Not only did the President make the usual bunch of Jed Bartlet-style comments on the economy, education, healthcare, and foreign affairs; he also made timely statements on the criminal justice system in the wake of the national unrest around violence in Ferguson and New York and declared marriage a civil right. His acknowledgment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people was actually the first time that had ever happened in a State of the Union address.
But all of those things have been relatively dwarfed by the Sick Burn/Epic Zinger that came towards the end of his speech. Naturally, everyone had the same kind of response.

Once that was well and truly done, people had to find new ways to make it work.
They turned to Photoshop (with a shout out to muscly Michelle Obama and adorably bemused Joe Biden):
"I have no more campaigns to run………I know because I won both of them." #SOTU pic.twitter.com/LlCeet9v52

Then they restored old photos to their full potential:
Obama has a mixtape named 2Termz. His 1st single – "I Won Both of 'Em" ft Ruth "Notorious R.B.G." Ginsburg. #SOTU pic.twitter.com/37cluXk6x9

They utilised this classic piece of tasty footage:
Obama Too Real: I know because I won both of them. *beat drops https://t.co/bf5MOYVyQ0”

Spent time producing full-blown fan art:
"I know because I won both of them" #SOTU pic.twitter.com/zBPUITsWxs
— Bipartisan Report (@Bipartisanism) January 21, 2015
And re-jigged a classic:
