‘The Feed’ Perfectly Parodied What The ABC Would Look Like If The Liberal Party Had Their Way

It’s no secret that the Liberal Party has a massive hate-boner for The ABC, absolutely furious about the broadcaster’s staple programs like Marxist pig cartoons and those irrepressible middle-aged pranksters The Chaser.

But the Liberals aren’t content with just shaking their fists at the TV from their plush seat at the yacht club — the Liberal Party’s peak council recently voted almost 2:1 to privatise the ABC. The call was swiftly rejected, with cabinet ministers saying it would be “total madness”, but it’s certainly indicative of a certain bias against the national broadcaster.

In response, Mark Humphries and the good people at The Feed have made a video which imagines what the ABC would look like if its programming was just a little bit more conservative-friendly. Shows we could look forward to in the Liberal-run ABC dystopia include Julia Killard: Postmistress of Death, Tonightly With Caleb Bond and Rage, but guest programmed by the estate of Dame Joan Sutherland.

ABC News 24 would also have to go, because who needs an entire news channel that nobody watches when Sky News already exists?

Anyway — its some pretty funny stuff, go watch it. Meanwhile, try not to think too deeply about Tonightly With Caleb Bond. Yikes.
