Taylor Swift Filmed Lena Dunham Dancing To A Song Called ‘Lena Dunham’

Celebrity Instagram voyeurism never looked so good.

If your Instagram feed is getting stale, here’s three recommendations: 1) Decide on your favourite dog breed and find an account solely dedicated to it; 2) You’ll either love or hate Fuck Jerry and The Fat Jewish; and 3) Find a small group of celebrity friends, and follow all of them at once.

For instance: there is something horrifyingly fascinating to me about a group I follow, who appear to be very close friends with each other. It began with Lena Dunham and her boyfriend Jack Antonoff (from Fun.), which led me to fashion designer Rachel Antonoff (his sister), Rookie‘s Tavi Gevinson, and their friend Sarah Ramos. Ramos’ Instagram name is @annveal, named after the Arrested Development character played by her Parenthood co-star and close friend Mae Whitman — and it turns out these two hang out with one of my favourite comedians, Jenny Slate.

On the other side of Lena? Her sister Grace Dunham, their close friend Taylor Swift, Swift’s best friend Lorde, and all of their dogs.

This group of mostly women pop up consistently in each other’s feeds, in a way that encourages a humiliating amount of deep-scrolling by any Instagram voyeur who finds herself unable to sleep in the middle of the night. Which is exactly the time I came across this clip from Taylor Swift, who found a novelty rap song called ‘Lena Dunham’ and made Lena Dunham dance to it.

Happy Thanksgiving, you guys.

This was what happened when Lena and I found out that there is a rap song called ‘Lena Dunham’. @lenadunham

The song in question is by Hand Job Academy, an all-female hip hop group from Brooklyn who released the NSFW film clip earlier this week.
