The Terrifying ‘An Inconvenient Sequel’ Trailer Is Basically A Brutal Anti-Trump PSA

When An Inconvenient Truth came out in 2006, it forced the world to finally acknowledge how bad the rapid progression of climate change had really gotten.
Former Vice President Al Gore became the world’s stern uncle, imploring us to do something before it was too late. Spoiler: we didn’t!
Now, more than 10 years later, An Inconvenient Sequel is here to tell us that if you think things were bad before, well now they are a lot worse. The new documentary will look at the predictions climate change scientists made back in 2006 (like that the 9/11 Memorial could be flooded by a combination of rising sea levels and storm surges) and see if any of these predictions are already coming true (that one did).
It also serves to remind audiences that under the last administration in the US, positive changes were being made to at least acknowledge climate change — changes that have now been completely dismissed under a Trump presidency. The trailer makes Trump out to be the biggest dunce in the history of global politics.
“We need some global warming! It’s freezing here,” Trump says to a laughing crowd. He then explains that the only way to “make America great” is to cancel billions of dollars in climate change spending. As you can imagine, Al Gore is mad as hell, and he’s not going to take it anymore.
