A Huge International Festival Is Coming To Australia In 2018 And The Line-Up Is Incredible
This is insane.
Iconic festival brand Austin City Limits has announced it’s heading Down Under in 2018, with a massive inaugural event locked in for Sydney in February.
The line-up for Sydney City Limits was dropped this morning, and it’s eye-watering: French dance duo Justice, ‘Entertainment’ hitmakers Pheonix, Beck, Grace Jones, The Libertines, and Thundercat are just a few of the internationals who’ll be hitting Sydney’s Centennial Park on February 24.
They’ll be joined by a stack of locals including The Avalanches, Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, Vance Joy, Allday and Alex Lahey. Check out the full bill below.
The festival is being put on by the folks at Secret Sounds, who are behind Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
“As a Sydneysider I’m super excited to bring this new event to town,” says Secret Sounds’ Jessica Ducrou. “Direct from Austin, Texas and the flagship Austin City Limits Festival, sister event Sydney City Limits looks forward to presenting some of the most awesome international and Australian acts around.
“It’s very much going to be a celebration of Sydney itself — the food, local artists and the community that makes it such a great place to live and visit.”
Tickets for Sydney City Limits sale 9am on Wednesday, November 1.
