Exams are well under way and the pressure is on! If you’re a diligent student, you’d probably be studying your butt off by now. If you’re, ahem, less than diligent, you may have found yourself in front of the TV.

But that’s OK! TV can teach us a lot about different study techniques. Have a look at how your fav characters would approach studying for some tips.

#1 Friends

If you’re a big fan of Friends, you’d probably get a lot out of studying with your mates. Just watch out for the friends like Joey and Chandler who seize any opportunity to procrastinate. And while you probably muck around for most of the study sesh, you know you guys will rally to get it all finished when push comes to shove. Thanks to the Monica in the group, the colour-coded study cards will help you get back on track.

#2 Peaky Blinders

Other more pressing issues might be pre-occupying your mind leading up to exams, like running your illegal business or rigging the races. However, this still might not be enough to get your ideal marks. If you’re anything like Tomas Shelby, that won’t stop you going to your lecturers and disputing your results. You might not use Shelby’s violent force or blackmail but still, you’re determined to get the marks you believe you deserve.

#3 Younger

Liza from Younger seems to get away with pretty much everything — from pretending to be 26 to scoring the next up and coming publishing deal. If she was tackling through this exam block she would be able to juggle her job, her love conundrum between Josh and Charles, and of course acing her exam workload.

If you channel Liza, you’ve got the gift for multi-tasking, are extremely organized, and don’t mind hours of readings.

#4 Orange Is The New Black

You’re highly competitive and want to get the best marks possible. No matter what it takes to get there. Channelling your inner criminal, you slide the slippery slope of plagiarism in your essays or straight out pay for your assignments from the black market of HD papers.

When it comes to exams you know there’s only so much you can do without knuckling down and studying. Although it still won’t stop you sussing out if there’s a Poussey willing to take your test.

#5 Suits

Like Mike and Harvey, you’re no stranger to putting in the long and hard hours to learn the things you need to succeed. You have a great support system that will be there for you, from bringing you sushi dinners during those late-night craving sessions, to giving you the Donna-approved pep talks when you forget what your priorities are.

At the end of the day, you’re pretty sure you have a photographic memory, so you’re not too worried.
