Do you remember the saccharine yet strangely readable tales of friendship, innocence and requisite slumber parties that were the Babysitter’s Club book series? Have you noticed a striking similarity between those books and the directionless-but-highly-relatable characters on HBO’s Girls?

Well, turns out you’re not the only one. A true genius over at Break has mashed these two seminal coming-of-age works together, because the internet. Including punchy titles such as Adam’s Questionable Sanity and Watch Out, Marnie’s A Clinger, these delightful illustrations are so on point it hurts.

The plot parallels between the books and HBO’s Girls are almost too perfect. They both focus on the antics of a group of gal pals pursuing after school jobs/dream careers, attempts to remain financially stable/buy that super cute sweater, and of course face unavoidable drama with wit and style.

Not one to shy away from a challenge (or a delicious batch of brownies), Todd Spence has also begun to illustrate Season Four:

In related news, True Detective/Hardy Boys has been given the same treatment – now all we have to wait for is Nancy Drew crossed with Orange Is The New Black.
