Sarah Hanson-Young Reads More Mean Tweets, Because People Are Still The Absolute Worst

Last week, Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young released her very first mean tweets video and, whether it was to give sympathy or marvel with morbid fascination at how awful humanity is, a lot of you watched it. Now, because nothing ever changes and the internet continues to be the worst, she’s back with another dose of sadness.

The second instalment which was released online last night features a heap more gendered insults and generally patronising, degrading things. Special shoutouts to the poet laureate who declared the Senator wasn’t “hot shit” just “a cold fart warming up”; and Frank from the Blue Mountains whose thoughts about gay people, piss, and shit are bordering on serious sexual repression.

By the way, that comment at the end sounds suspiciously close to being a stab at the LNP. This week it was revealed that the majority of their constituent’s emails about same-sex marriage when straight to the spam folder, but Hanson-Young proudly makes the point she reads all of hers.
