Samuel L Jackson’s Extremely Sweary ‘Game Of Thrones’ Series Recap Is All You Need, Really

For those of us who never jumped on the Game of Thrones hypewagon, hearing your mates talk breathlessly about things like ‘White Walkers’, ‘greyscale’ and ‘needlessly gratuitous scenes of sexual abuse’ must be kind of a drag.

But with six seasons gone, there’s no less than 60 hour-long episodes to grind through if a late convert wants to catch up, and dozens of plotlines to digest before getting to the end of Season Six. Remember Xaro Xhoan Daxos? Of course you don’t! He was five seasons ago! But a newbie has to slog through his storyline like a chump instead of skipping straight to the good stuff.

Which is where this comes in. Samuel L Jackson, who is surely just doing whatever he wants for the fun of it by now, has recorded a seven-minute crash course in Game of Thrones backstory for the uninitiated, shout-outs to “motherfuckin’ dragons” and all. Sure as hell beats schlepping through 60 hours of dragons and sexposition.
