‘Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures’ Is Coming Back To TV After A 15 Year Hiatus
"It's time to hit the road."
It’s been 15 horrible, despondent years since the glorious catchphrase “G’day, I’m Russell Coight, and this is my backyard.. the Aussie outback” last graced our television sets. The folk over at channel Ten have decided that we’ve waited long enough and have announced the series will be returning for a third season in 2017.
Since Russel Coight’s All Aussie Adventures last aired in 2002 we’ve gone to war in Iraq (twice), watched Tony Abbott meteoric political rise, and just as meteoric political collapse, and experienced Guy Sebastian’s entire music career — from Australian Idol to Eurovision.
It’s been a very long time.
All Aussie Adventures featured Glenn Robbins (most recently seen on the ABC’s Upper Middle Bogan) as Coight and was a bloody hilarious mockumentary taking the piss out off adventure shows like Steve Irwin’s The Crocodile Hunter and Malcolm Douglas’ Across The Top.
Coight was incredibly bad at everything he did and would regularly set fire to the landscape. He also took great pleasure in confusing backpackers, which was awesome because, as we all know, backpackers are terrible.
The show also has one of the best theme songs of all time.

Ah, the glory days of Australian television.
All Aussie Adventures will be back on Ten next year.
