Pauline Hanson Is Being Slammed For A “Disgusting” Anti-Islam Tweet Following The London Attacks
Bill Shorten called Hanson's commentary "crass, idiotic and disgusting."
Pauline Hanson has lowered the bar yet again, using the tragic events in London this morning to launch a fresh attack on Islam.
Barely four hours after news first broke of an apparent terror attack in the UK capital – one that has left six people dead and more than 40 injured – the One Nation leader tweeted a graphic criticising Australia’s major political parties for “their campaign that Islam is good for Australia.”
“Australia is tired of telling both sides of Government that Islam is incompatible with Australian values,” reads the graphic. In the accompanying tweet, Senator Hanson called for an end to Islamic immigration “before it is too late.”

To make matters worse, the graphic was apparently inspired by one that was tweeted by London’s Metropolitan Police Service shortly after the attack took place, advising members of the public of what to do during emergencies such as this.

Hanson issued the tweet despite having been told categorically by the head of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) during a Senate estimates hearing last month that there was “absolutely no evidence to suggest there’s a connection between refugees and terrorism.”
Hanson was quickly slammed by users on social media for the content and timing of her post.
You are truly an awful awful human being, how dare you exploit these poor families loss & tragedy for your grubby political gain. Sickening.

Resign. People are dead and injured and you talk crap like this. Get. In. The. Bin.

I’d rather Australia was 20% more Islamic than one-one-thousandth of a percent more Pauline Hanson.

Don’t pretend you speak for all of Australia, you represent a few percent of people at best. You’re an embarrassment to our country.

A number of politicians have also condemned Hanson. Opposition Leader Bill Shorten called the commentary “crass, idiotic and disgusting”, while Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young described it as “despicable.”
Pauline Hanson’s misappropriation of police warning for her hateful politics is despicable. My thoughts are with those suffering in the UK pic.twitter.com/c1jC5mqV3o

Hanson did find at least one other Senator willing to join her in the flaming garbage can of history, however.
When the first politician says “This has nothing to do with Islam ” feel free to call BS, I know I will #auspolhttps://t.co/fjqEezHW8Y

Birds of a feather, etc.
