You know that iconic photo of the time Elvis met Richard Nixon? We’ve just received our generational equivalent, I guess? On today’s episode of Letterman, Bill Murray crossed an unexpected item off his bucket list: meeting Lady Gaga.
“I can’t believe you kids haven’t met,” said David Letterman, as the duo came together for a selfie on the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theatre. He makes a good point, ’cause the two aren’t too different: they both love to sing, they both have insane wardrobes, and, I don’t know, something to do with monsters. Fate was always going to bring them together.
Perhaps the best bit is at 2:54, when dawdling Bill Murray’s all like, “Fuuuuuuuuuuck, I’ve really gotta go to a Lady Gaga gig?”
