‘Better Call Saul’ Has A New Teaser Trailer, And A Premiere Date
Here's everything we know about the Breaking Bad spin-off.
It’s been over a year since it was announced that Breaking Bad would be enjoying a spin-off prequel, centred around Albuquerque’s favourite sleazy, two-bit lawyer, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) — and it’s been over two years since the rumours began.
In the seemingly endless interim, there’s been droplets of news and promos trickling through about the Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould-created show. It won’t be the comedy everyone expected; it will be a period piece set six years before the lawyer meets Walter White, back when Saul Goodman was Jimmy McGill, “a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny”; it will also star “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut, another Breaking Bad character played by Jonathan Banks; Walter and Jesse could be making cameo appearances; and, while the show has already been renewed for a second season, season one’s original launch date of December 2014 will be delayed. (“I am very slow,” Gilligan shrugged. “I am as slow as mud as a TV writer.“)
There was a few short teasers, a billboard prank, and this music video. And now we finally have a 30-second trailer-of-sorts that, while light on any actual visual information, is heavy on the season premiere air date: February 9.
