On July 14, The Brightside in Brisbane played host to a once in a lifetime performance of live music and art. Rapper and all-round inspiring gal Tkay Maidza joined forces with renowned artist Ego to create a once-in-a-lifetime event, courtesy of Roam.
Fresh from a US tour, Tkay Maidza took to the stage in front of an enthusiastic local crowd. Her energetic performance – she didn’t stop dancing all night – was matched only by the epic live artwork happening onstage. Artist Claire Foxton hand-painted a mural of a Greek-style arch, which digital artist Ego then projected images onto in a mesmerising backdrop to Tkay’s set.
It was a dream marriage of music and visuals, and the lucky crowd went home having enjoyed some Roam, free merch, and a not-to-be-missed immersive experience. Check out pics from the night below.
