Showtime has unveiled the first trailer for its new animated series Our Cartoon President, based on the tenure of Donald Trump. And it looks… unfortunately close to reality.

Executive produced by The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, the half-hour political satire features all the usual suspects, including Trump, Donald Jr., Eric, Melania, Mike Pence, Paul Ryan and an especially creepy looking Ted Cruz.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour on Saturday, Colbert said the series was about what a “stable genius” Trump was, and joked Michael Wolff, author of the explosive new book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, had stolen material from their scripts.

“There is nothing in the book that’s not in our show – and we just guessed!” Colbert declared. “That’s the great thing about the Trump administration. Everything you imagine? You’re right!”

As the animated hosts of Fox & Friends say, “I’m just glad Showtime is getting out of the smut business.”

Our Cartoon President starts airing on Showtime in the US on February 11.
