Oprah Winfrey Made Pharrell Cry, Because Of Course She Did
Everybody cries on Oprah.
After Oprah played Pharrell a montage of people around the world dancing to ‘Happy’, the camera cut to Pharrell, and he was crying. Oprah made Pharrell cry, but she wanted more — so she brought up his dead grandmother.
“It’s beautiful. Beautiful! Beautiful,” she said. Was she talking about the impact of his music on the world? Or the way his ratings-ready puffy face would show up in her rolling cameras?
You gotta hand it to the lady: she knows how to jerk those tears. If only there were some kind of ridiculously oversized receptacle on-hand to collect them.
