The director of iconic sci-fi film The Fifth Element, Luc Besson, has made a new sci-fi and that’s all you need to know. If you require more information, then Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is based on a series of popular French sci-fi graphic-novels about two governmental operatives who are tasked with maintaining order in a sprawling universe.
If the first trailer is anything to go by, Besson is not holding back. Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne float through neon-lit intergalactic cities, encounter monstrous aliens and kick and punch their way through space. Also, Rihanna is in it!
