Junket Is Coming Back For 2016 And You Can Nominate A Legend To Come

Know someone who could make a difference?

Last year Junket, Junkee’s first-ever unconference, brought together 200 of Australia’s bright young things to share ideas, get advice, be inspired, innovate, teach, learn, network and have fun — all with the suitably ambitious aim of helping set the agenda for Australia’s future.

Our candidates came from across the country, from a range of cultures, identities and areas of expertise, including entertainment, tech, music, medicine, arts, media, sport, politics, business, fashion, human rights and almost everything in between. Although their backgrounds and objectives were different, their mission was the same: to ignite discussion and change on issues of national importance. You can read all about how it went down here.

Now Junket’s coming back for its sophomore year, returning to Canberra’s QT Hotel from September 25 to 27. Nominations are now open for the Junket class of 2016, and in the spirit of democracy, we’d like you to help to formulate our list of remarkable young people. Do you know someone who’s making a big impact in their field and would love the chance to knock heads with other bright young sparks? Let us know about them, and maybe we’ll send them an invite!

Even better, this year we’re joining forces with Australian of the Year, as we’re both about celebrating the achievements and contributions of great Aussies. Everyone you nominate below will be considered to attend Junket 2016, and will automatically be nominated for Australian of the Year at the same time.

Head here to tell us who we should consider for Junket 2016, and use #JUNKET16 to spread the word.
