School lunches are a source of perennial angst in the United States, with health groups and First Lady Michelle Obama trying to combat the tide of hot dogs, French fries, vending machines and Coca-Cola sponsorships that schools serve up to the wee ones.

But in that fight to force fruits and vegetables on the young, one innocent victim is all too often forgotten: the humble pizza farmer. Rising at the crack of dawn to check on his crop, harvesting freshly-grown slices from the vine to feed his family, taking the pizzas to market — he has a right to live as much as anyone. In a new public service video for Funny or Die, Nick Offerman comes to the pizza farmer’s defence. As he so rightly notes, if it grows on trees, it can’t be unhealthy.
