Chris Pratt’s meteoric rise to fame has been well-documented. After playing various bit parts for years — remember when he got naked and sang on The OC — and the loveable Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation, he’s recently landed major leading roles in The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic Park to become one of the most well-known faces in Hollywood.

Doing the seemingly impossible, he’s totally endeared himself to the world as an all-round good guy while also being badass enough to lead a gang of velociraptors on a motorbike.

This might be slightly edited.

Or, at least this is what it seems like to fans and people who run pop culture sites. As Billy Eichner found out overnight, this message hasn’t yet spread to the IRL people on the streets of New York.

I may not relate to many of the unexcitable people in this clip — particularly the woman who thinks Guardians of the Galaxy is a TV show — but I have endless love for the polite Scottish tourist dressed as a little pink marshmallow. Her middle-aged husband at one point tips off his novelty “New York”-branded flat brim at the mention of a name of an actor who’s married to Fergie and her face is the physical embodiment of pure joy.
