Netflix Have Dropped An ‘Orange Is The New Black’ And ‘Black Mirror’ Crossover

Netflix just keeps turning up the dial on Orange Is The New Black hype. First it was the incredibly tense one minute trailer picking up seconds after the season four finale. Then we finally got a fiery, full-length trailer.
Now we’ve got bizarre, yet wonderfully compelling, featurette that mashes up Orange Is The New Black with Netflix’s terrifying drama Black Mirror.
To be clear, these shows have very little in common other than the fact they share the word ‘black’, but who cares. It works.
In the fourth episode of Black Mirror‘s last season, ‘San Junipero’, two women form a relationship in a virtual reality experience. The new trailer for Orange Is The New Black riffs off ‘San Junipero’ by reuniting Poussey (Samira Wiley) and Taystee (Danielle Brooks).
It’s a nice little moment of escapism but because this is a crossover of two quite bleak shows, of course it doesn’t latest very long.
