Morrissey Just Sent Out His First Ever Tweets
Yes, Moz is on Twitter now.
Yesssss, this is exactly why the internet was invented. Morrissey — former lead singer of The Smiths, icon to Mexican youth, and our loudmothed romantic hero — has just joined Twitter.
Well, according to the site, he joined way back in 2009, but you know Morrissey — he’s not one to make rash, outlandish public statements without some considered thought-editing. Oh wait… Never mind… I guess he was just really busy for five years.
A post on the singer’s Facebook confirms that it is indeed Morrissey tweeting, and not some gruesome impostor. Needless to say, he’s already racked up 146,000 followers (and counting). So what exactly does Morrissey have to say?

Uh yeah. Early days, and all that. The singer has a new album out in July, titled World Peace Is None Of Your Business, which has an impressive cover, so expect to get a lot of tweets about that.
In the meantime, I’d probably hit ‘follow’, anyway. You never know when he’ll post a nice anecdote about hanging out with Phoebe from Friends, or hating Australia’s guts.
