Poor Sean Spicer must have been absolutely dreading this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live.

In case you somehow missed it, the hapless White House Press Secretary was torn to shreds in a sketch last week, in which he was played with astounding accuracy by Ghostbusters star Melissa McCarthy.

To make matters worse, President Trump was apparently none too pleased that one of the main faces of his administration was being mocked, especially by a woman. The indignity!

Point is, it must have been a nervous Saturday night for the White House media man, as he waited to see whether or not McCarthy would be back for round number two.

The good news? He didn’t have to wait long to find out. Striding out to the kind of thunderous applause that the real Spicer will likely never hear, McCarthy took the podium for the opening sketch of the night.

The bad news? It was every bit as brutal as Spicer could have feared.
