Fact is, the new film from Syriana director Stephen Gaghan looks like it’ll be squarely in the conversation come Oscar night. Gold stars McConaughey as Kenny Wells, a down on his luck businessman who discovers gold in Indonesia, only to become the subject of a massive federal investigation. The film is based on a true story, and co-stars Edgar Ramirez, Bryce Dallas Howard and a tiger.
