Malcolm Turnbull Asked For Aussie Music Recommendations And He Got The Roasting He Deserved
"Make sure it includes 'One Summer' because that's all Mal might have left."
This morning, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull disappointed the nation when he went on Triple M and demonstrated that he can’t name a single AC/DC song.
The man clearly needs a helping hand, and — thank god — someone in his office has recognised this. This afternoon, the official Prime Minister’s Office Twitter account announced that they’re making Malc a Spotify playlist of Aussie music to get him up to speed, and they want your suggestions.
Say it with me, friends: oh boy.
Alright, alright. The PM needs a refresh on his Aussie music so we're making him a playlist, starting with @acdc and a bit of @braithwaite_d. Tweet us your suggestions. pic.twitter.com/DJwJaJR2F9

Already, after less than an hour, the tweet has amassed 175 replies and counting. And folks, they are wall-to-wall solid burns. What follows is the greatest compilation of Australian musical roasts of all time.
It turns out Australian song titles are very well-suited to insulting people, as well as criticising their poor policy decisions on a range of fronts. Here’s a sample:

Anyway, our boy should have plenty of time to listen to this seeing as he’s cancelled Parliament for a bit. As for the rest of us, if you’ve got anything you’d like to say to the PM through song, you can tweet it at him here.
