Uh, let’s get this out of the way first: pffffffffffft hahahahaha omg Lindsay is the best. Okay, now we can move on.

Lindsay Lohan’s attempted career comeback hasn’t exactly gone the way it was supposed to. First, her behind-the-scenes reality show with exploitative pseudo-saviour Oprah, which wrapped up earlier this week, just revealed her to be the incredible trainwreck she was always rumoured to be, and now a new profile in Kode Magazine — which Lindsay and her reps have since called “fabricated” and “irresponsible” — is proving to be a treasure trove of LiLo-related gossip.

Among the bits featured in the piece are accusations that the actress is dating a married man, news that she’s once again fallen off the wagon (according to the writer, she sipped from a “vodka-filled Evian bottle” throughout the interview), and, perhaps the highlight, a quote straight outta Lindsay’s mouth where she insinuates that Academy Award winner, multiple nominee and Hollywood princess Jennifer Lawrence, ahem, “fucks for roles”. Oh boy. The line was apparently overheard while Lindsay was casually strolling through the VIP tents of Coachella, absentmindedly gossiping with Hollywood pals while forgetting she was being tailed by a reporter, which is a pretty Lindsay Lohan thing to do.

“She saunters off to the opposite side of the room as the conversation then moves to America’s current sweetheart, Jennifer Lawrence,” reads the article in Kode. “Her feeling towards her infamous stumble at the [Oscars] ceremony’s red carpet is pretty evident. ‘She’s so fake, and I’m sorry, I’m not going to [expletive] for roles.’”

Sure, Hollywood’s a weird place, potentially filled with morally dubious goings-on and publicity cover-ups, but there’s a reason why everyone’s first reaction to Lindsay’s claim is to laugh uncontrollably. Still, to paraphrase an insightful commenter on Oh No They Didn’t’s brilliant messageboards, “If J-Law is fucking for roles, I guess she’s doing it right?”

Yep
