Three years after she threw punches at the patriarchy on Sheezus, Lily Allen has returned with a new single called ‘Trigger Bang’.

The song features London rapper and Lily’s mate Giggs, and it’s the first official look at her upcoming fourth album — largely rumoured to be titled The Fourth Wall — which will drop sometime next year.

She’s reportedly been in the studio with powerhouse pop producer Mark Ronson working on the record. ‘Trigger Bang’, however, was produced by London name Fryars.

Allen has spoken at length about how The Fourth Wall will deal with some very heavy personal issues, including her struggles with alcohol after the birth of her second child in 2013.

2018 will also see the release of her as-yet-untitled memoir, which focuses on the “trauma and grief of losing a child”.

“Some of it I think might be uncomfortable and shocking and brutal,” Allen said in a statement earlier this year. “It won’t be written with shame. It will be true.”
