The Grumpy Cat Christmas Movie Just Cast Its Grumpy Cat
It's almost too perfect.
In June this year, Lifetime announced it had signed meme/media brand/business mogul Grumpy Cat for a live action Christmas movie.
The internet was delighted.
Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, penned by SpongeBob Square Pants’ Tim Hill, will be out on November 29. It tells the story of the pet-store cat who no-one wants, and the 12-year-old girl who can talk to her.
The Vice President of Lifetime Originals, Arturo Interian, has described the movie as “a little Home Alone and a little Die Hard” — and today, they announced who’d be playing the cat.
Perfect:
Known for her role as the sardonic, deadpan and dark grump April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation, Aubrey Plaza seems a fairly obvious choice to play sardonic, deadpan and dark grump Grumpy Cat.
She amplified the announcement in her own special way.

Actually can’t wait.
