To be honest, we did feel pretty creepy doing the research on this.

You’d think being a young Hollywood heartthrob with awesome Hollywood hair would score you quite a bit of bedroom practice, but maybe not? Zac Efron seems to be a giant baby about it anyway.

The 25-year-old is starring in a brand new movie called At Any Price alongside Heather Graham, which, according to Sony Pictures, goes a little something like this:

In the competitive world of modern agriculture, ambitious Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid) wants his rebellious son Dean (Zac Efron) to help expand his family’s farming empire. However, Dean has his sights set on becoming a professional race car driver. When a high-stakes investigation into their business is exposed, father and son are pushed into an unexpected crisis that threatens the family’s entire livelihood.

“Competitive world of modern agriculture”, huh? Sounds riveting. Anyway, the guy was out on the town last night to promote the film and, as Vulture reports, had this to say:

When we spoke to his At Any Price co-star Heather Graham at a Cinema Society screening of the movie last week, she told us that before shooting their love scene, “Zac actually said, ‘I’ve never done a sex scene before, and I’m kind of nervous.’ I was like, This is so funny; I’m this knowledgeable person!” Efron blushed when we brought the story up to him later. “I was nervous because I’ve been in love with her since I can remember,” he said. “It was very surreal for me.”

We’ve heard this tune before.

2010: Charlie St. Cloud
“The weird part is that we were literally in a graveyard. That was kinda awkward. As soon as they yelled cut, we were like, ‘Oh, don’t step on anything.'” (source)

2011: The Lucky One
“Romantic scenes get built up because they’re something that’s coming up.  It seems like they’re always looming and other people don’t want to talk about them because somehow it’s got this weird awkward perception.” (source)

2012: The Paperboy
“That was the first day of filming and Nicole [Kidman] just completely went for it. She was telling everyone ‘I’m bringing my A-game. What do you have?’ I’ve never been so scared in my life.” (source)

Geez, chill out, kid, it’s just pretend sex. Also, he’s full of shit.
