Kanye Tried To Hire James Franco And Seth Rogen To Perform ‘Bound 3’ At His Wedding

This is apparently a true story, according to James Franco.

Kanye might seem like an intense dude, what with all the manic ranting, paparazzi-bashing and angry music, but if you needed proof of his lighter side, James Franco just offered the best story while appearing on awesome ol’ lady show The View earlier this morning.

Remember how Kim Kardashian was a huge fan of Franco and Seth Rogen’s brilliant shot-for-shot parody of her and Kanye’s gyration-heavy ‘Bound 2’ video, and how she tweeted her support for the clip with the glowing endorsement “You nailed it!!! Sooo funny!”? Turns out Kanye was an even bigger fan, even though he kept his admiration on the down-low.

“Kim loved the video, and we didn’t hear back from Kanye, so we kind of felt like he’s not bashing us, but he probably hates it but he’s not going to say anything,” Franco explained to Joy Behar or Whoopi Goldberg or whoever’s gracing The View‘s couch these days. “But then two weeks ago, we got a call from Kanye. Seth and I were on the phone. We thought he was just going to let us have it, but he loved it. And I’m pretty sure I can say it now because I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen: he wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles.”

‘Bound 3’ live at Kim and Kanye’s wedding at Versailles? That would’ve broke the internet. Unfortunately, Franco and Rogen understood it was a completely batshit insane idea. “I think it would have been awesome for about 10 seconds, and then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front of all the Kardashians and all of the rap world,” said Franco.

Oh yeah, we were so distracted by the prospect of a live wedding performance of ‘Bound 3’ that we totally glossed over the revelation that Kim and Kanye are getting married at Versailles, like a couple of 17th-century French monarchs. These guys are amazing. I bet their honeymoon will be a weekend on the moon.
