Earlier this week, celebrity scientist/coloured shirt vehicle Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki announced he regretted his role as the face of the government’s Intergenerational Report — a 40 year plan for Australia that has been slammed by critics for bending flawed evidence to suit partisan ideology, and ignoring climate change. Dr. Karl had appeared in ads promoting the report on TV, radio, and in newspapers, but admitted he had agreed to take part before being able to read the full document. “It was my fault for not realising the nature of the beast I was involved with,” he told the ABC, before deciding to donate the money he made to public schools in need. “I really thought that it would be an independent, bipartisan, non political document.”

We asked cartoonist David Blumenstein to tackle a few more poorly-thought-out endorsements.
