Jacqui Lambie Posts About “Migrants” Threatening Christmas; Genuinely Does Not Understand Christmas
No one tell Jacqui Lambie what Christmas celebrates.
Independent Senator and bargain-basement Sarah Palin knockoff Jacqui Lambie is very much on the record as being deeply suspicious of Muslims and Islam’s role in Australia. She is even more on the record as having not a bee’s dick worth of knowledge on the topic, as evidenced by her deeply enlightened definition of Sharia law, her grilling Australian defence chiefs on the threat of Ebola-infected suicide bombers and her refusal to physically enter a mosque, presumably to avoid being brainwashed into feeling empathy and understanding for other human beings.
Giving the Bigoted Nonsense Wheel of Fortune another spin earlier today, Lambie landed on the rare but highly prized “Fuck It, Go All In” square and proceeded to tick off several crazy boxes at once. Outrage against an imaginary War On Christmas? Check. Casual bashing of migrants and religious people? Check. Terrorism? Sure, why not. It’s been at least twelve hours since Jacqui Lambie used her immense platform to wear away the fabric of Australia’s multicultural compact, she’s got some lost time to make up.
First off, why not take a moment to appreciate the irony of someone who once asked for a portrait of herself wearing a ball gown and holding an assault rifle calling someone else a “nutter”. Really let it sink in. Give it a roll-around in the old skull.
Next, wonder how long it’ll take Lambie to realise that most migrants who’ve historically come to Australia are, in fact, Christian. and would therefore be just fine with a giant plastic Christmas tree living in some random Parliament house hallway. Presumably migrants like former Prime Ministers Tony Abbott and Julia Gillard don’t have a problem with it.
Lastly, Lambie’s sudden concern for Christmas is pretty rich, given that yesterday she argued for Syrian refugees being forced to wear electronic ankle monitors. No one tell her that Christmas is a celebration of a family of Middle Eastern refugees fleeing persecution. She’ll probably start praising King Herod for enacting a strong and decisive subversive-baby containment policy.
