Introducing ‘Hot Guys Of The Q&A Audience’: A Tumblr To Make The Show A Little More Tolerable
Zaky Mallah is absent for some weird reason.
This time last week we were all screaming at one another about whether a Q&A audience member up and “urged” everyone to join ISIS, and readying ourselves for the shitstorm that was to come from the morning’s Murdoch papers. The effects of this have been playing out ever since and eventually came to a head in last night’s episode where Tony Jones went full Inception and a visiting cosmologist prevailed as the nation’s voice of reason labelling it all “ridiculous”.
Amidst all this, we’ve predictably lost sight of the true saviour of this bastion of Australian public debate: the hot guys sitting in the audience. Zaky Mallah has had his 15 minutes, it’s now time to talk about the bearded Arts students intently attempting eye contact with Tony Jones, pausing occasionally to nod in solemn approval.

In an attempt to draw attention to this obvious highlight of the often-maligned show, Adelaide radio host and mathematician Casey Briggs has today launched Hot Guys Of The Q&A Audience: a lovingly compiled collection of screenshots of these brave and dashing men. “It’s a bit tricky though, ’cause on the whole the guys on Q&A aren’t that hot, so I had to lower the bar and there are some average guys in it,” Briggs told us.
The collection is so far comprised of 20 images from the past three shows and there are more scheduled to go up in the next few days. Congratulations/commiserations if you’re pictured below.
