In November last year, notorious pick-up artist Julien Blanc’s tour of Australian cities was met with protests, boycotts and clashes between men’s rights activists and protesters, eventually forcing Blanc to cancel his tour and leave the country. Cartoonist David Blumenstein went undercover to one of those conventions-turned-protests in Melbourne, curious to meet the kinds of people — of all persuasions — likely to turn up.

He’s turned the experience into a graphic novel, #Takedown, which is coming out tomorrow. Here’s an exclusive intro.
