Holland’s Got Talent, And An Extremely Racist Judge

Cornelis Willem Heuckeroth is a judge on Holland’s Got Talent, with Chantal Janzen and Dan Karaty. Last week, a competitor from China named Xiao Wang took the stage.

Perhaps Xiao Wang was the first person from China that Gordon had ever seen. Perhaps Gordon was struck by a coma in the 1920s, and had just awoken from a deep, social progress-free sleep. Perhaps Gordon’s family and loved ones had been brutally and summarily killed by the entire Chinese population at some point in his past. We shall never know.

What we do know, however, is that the judge’s reaction to Xiao Wang fell just short of pulling the sides of each racist eye towards each of his racist ears. The video has been taken down, but here are a few things that actually came out of his mouth, garnished with GIFs.

“Which [Verdi] number are you singing?,” he asked before the song. “Number 39 with rice?”

“That was a big surprise!” Janzen exclaimed after the performance.

“Suplise!” Gordon replied.

Gordon: “Honestly, this is the best Chinese I’ve had in weeks, and it’s not a takeaway.”

Gordon: “You look like a scientist.”

Gordon: “May we have your vote for the [adopts terrible Chinese accent] People Republic Of China?”

Gordon: “He looks like a waiter from a Chinese restaurant.”

And finally, after co-host Dan Karaty points out that Gordon’s not supposed to say that to people: “What?”
