Here’s What Happened When We Threw The Best Party In The Galaxy

Last Sunday, we joined forces with Marvel Studios to throw ‘the best party in the galaxy’ (and we’d like to think we lived up to that claim).

To celebrate the release of Marvel Studios’ Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, we took over Sun Studios in Alexandria and invited a few hundred of our closest friends (ie. you guys) to come down and ring in The Guardians’ return to the big screen. DJ FlexMami hit the decks to get things started while guests chowed on ‘shroom burgers, epic chilli cheese fries and pulled pork rolls from food truck heroes Eat Art Truck and Nighthawk Diner.

Artist Jack Irvine live-painted a mural inspired by the film next to the bar, which was serving up drinks from our mates at Absolut Botanik, Wynns Coonawarra Estate, Young Henrys and Thankyou Water.

Then Client Liaison took to the stage in an energetic, delightfully camp set that paid homage to the ’80s-inspired soundtrack of the film (though the crowd went wild for their cover of Savage Garden’s ‘Cherry Cola’… make of that what you will).
