Hundreds Of ‘Harry Potter’ Fans Met At King’s Cross For Albus Potter’s First Day At Hogwarts
19 years later.
Hundreds of Harry Potter fans have gathered at King’s Cross Station in London to celebrate a very important date in the Potter canon.
According to the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, September 1, 2017 is the day that Harry and Ginny’s son, Albus Severus Potter, boarded the Hogwarts Express for the very first time.
To mark the occasion, fans of the series flocked to the entrance of Platform 9¾.
Honestly, you’ve got to feel a bit sorry for the regular commuters.
Sorry to all the muggle users of #KingsCross who have suddenly been inundated by Potterheads.#19YearsLater pic.twitter.com/BUxde4J094

Also in the crowd was actor Warwick Davis, who played Professor Flitwick and the goblin Griphook in the movie adaptations.
“It’s great to celebrate with the fans,” David told reporters. “As well as being in the franchise, in the films, I’m also a fan.”

Actor Jason Isaacs, who played the villainous Lucius Malfoy, also marked the occasion, retweeting a message from series author J.K. Rowling and musing that in retrospect, he may have chosen the wrong side.

It could have all been so different, if only I’d picked the winning side.
