The vexed question of who would take over from Jon Stewart at The Daily Show ended up being answered to debatable satisfaction when South African comic Trevor Noah got the nod, with plenty of people openly wondering why someone more high-profile like Amy Poehler or Amy Schumer didn’t take the job.
With his new vehicle Why? premièring tomorrow, Hannibal Buress has given us a taste of what The Daily Show might’ve been like with him in the chair, which is to say…different.
