‘Hamilton’ Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda Joined Weird Al On Stage For The Nerdiest Duet Ever
Because sometimes the internet is just a wonderful place.
Here’s something fun for your Monday morning, you big dorks: at a concert in New York City last night, Weird Al Yankovic invited Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda to join him on stage, and the footage is straight-up one of the most endearing things you’ll see all year.

Midway through a performance of ‘Yoda’, his Star Wars-inspired parody of ‘Lola’ by The Kinks, Weird Al called for the audience to join in the singing before shouting “okay just Lin-Manuel”. It was at this point that the slightly terrified looking Tony winner ran onto the stage and busted out the song’s chorus while the entire crowd lost its mind.
The star-struck Miranda later posted on Twitter saying that the duet ranked as the second best moment of his life, coming just behind another rendition of ‘Yoda’ he saw with his friends at a Weird Al concert back in the ninth grade. He also solidified his nerd credentials with a Harry Potter reference, because sometimes the internet is just a wonderful place full of magic and joy.
1) In 9th grade I sat in an upper box of the Beacon with @AlexSarlin & Emily Pinkowitz & we screamed "Yoda!!"
It was @alyankovic's encore.— Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel) September 25, 2016
2) We truly believed our screams made Yoda happen.
It was, at that point, the best moment of my life.
Today was a VERY close second. pic.twitter.com/aUq9QKDXU2— Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel) September 25, 2016
