Fox News Tries To Air Footage From ‘Mrs Doubtfire’; Airs Footage Of Some Guy Dressed Up As Mrs Doubtfire Instead

In the midst of their coverage of Robin Williams’ tragic and untimely death this morning, Fox News just rushed through the following report: an audio interview with Larry King, backed with footage of the comedian and actor.

But it wasn’t footage of the comedian and actor at all. It was actually footage of some guy in a dress on YouTube.

Labelled as though it were supplied by 20th Century Fox, the footage instead came from YouTube user Robert Christie. In 2009, he filmed himself dressed up for Halloween, dancing to ‘Dude Looks Like A Lady’.

A terrible gaffe, sure — but put it side-by-side with the indefensible live stream ABC News set up outside Williams’ home, and Fox News look like saints.
