Dog days are over: Florence + The Machine are returning to our shores with a massive national tour — including a massive, one-off open-air concert at The Domain in Sydney.

In January, Florence Welch will visit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Sydney (and, later, Auckland), performing a career-spanning set of hits from debut Lungs to upcoming fourth album, High As Hope. Judging by the trio of pre-released songs, we’re in for an ethereal affair — ‘Hunger’ and ‘Sky Full Of Song’ swell with as much emotion as ‘Shake It Out’ or ‘You’ve Got The Love’, while ‘Big God’ is a stunning anthem about absent lovers, co-written by Jamie XX and featuring Kamasi Washington.

Welch hasn’t been to Australia since 2015, when she performed an all-in series of shows as part of Vivid Sydney and four back-to-back shows on the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt later that same year.

Each show will be all-ages — handy, since 16-year-old wunderkind Billie Eilish will support Welch in Adelaide, Geelong, and Sydney. NZ Indie hit-maker Marlon Williams will also support the band on all Australian tour dates, following a sold-out world tour for his sophomore album, Make Way For Love.

General public tickets are on sale Thursday, June 28, 12pm local time, per city. For more information, visit the website.
