Finally, There’s A Tinder App For “Quirky People”

Because Tinder was getting too mainstream.

Dating apps like Tinder are a convenient way of meeting people when you’re too busy in the real world — but some say choosing prospective dates based on five select photos is superficial.

Lucky there’s a new dating app for this “quirky” breed.

Loveflutter is marketed with the tagline “Meet Someone Quirky And Interesting Nearby”, with pictures of two headless people wearing striped clothes. Sah quirky.

Man,

TATTOOS!

The app works pretty much exactly like Tinder, except that it’s based on personality. Instead of uploading five of your best Facebook photos, you pick 140 of your most cleverest characters to express yourself. Oh, and you swipe down – not right – to “like” someone.

Although Loveflutter does display one photograph — blurry, until you press and hold — creator David Standen has said his app is “not just about” looks; it’s also “about whether you have an obscure collection of stamps as well. Whatever gives you that quirky edge”.

Like wanting to be a hand model, for instance.

The app might claim to try to get beyond appearances, but it doesn’t seem to offer much more than Tinder. You can probably find out more about people by reading their Twitter bios – at least they allow 20 more characters.
