Hold onto your butts Australia: you’re getting a brand new festival stacked full of dance, hip-hop, and pop.

The new event is called Festival X, and it’ll be touring around the country this November and December — hitting up Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. It’s been backed by the folks at Hardware and Onelove — who you’ll probably know as the brains behind one of Australia’s biggest festivals, Stereosonic.

“We’ve been working on this for while now and the time is right,” Hardware’s Richie McNeill says. “Fans and the industry want a reliable, value for money musical experience showcasing the faves and new artists.

“We’ve got awesome musical artists, stage designers and builders responsible for some of the most spectacular looking stage designs at Electric Daisy Carnival, ID&T etc…It’s the start of summer and a great time to celebrate end of exams, holidays coming and listen to some loud, awesome music. Massive feels!”

It’ll land in Brisbane on November 30, Sydney on December 1, and Melbourne on December 2. There’s no line-up just yet, but organisers have flagged that the bill includes Grammy, Billboard, and ARIA Award winners.
