Watch The Feed’s Hilarious Reply To 60 Minutes’ Terrible Cassie Sainsbury Story
"I expected better from a show that facilitated the kidnapping of two children."
Over the past few weeks, Australian news outlets have been absolutely salivating over the story of alleged drug mule Cassie Sainsbury. The 22-year-old woman from Adelaide was detained in Colombia on April 11 after airport authorities found more than five kilograms of cocaine in her luggage – and she’s scarcely been out of the news since.
On Sunday, the media’s obsession reached fever pitch, with Channel Seven’s Sunday Night and Channel Nine’s 60 Minutes running competing “exclusive” programs about Sainsbury. Nine’s report won out in the ratings after honing in on accusations that Sainsbury led “a secret double life as a Sydney pr*stitute“.
Why has 60 Minutes resorted to outing people as sex workers, are there no children left to kidnap?

We’ve already gone into why outing Sainsbury as a sex worker is a seriously shitty thing to do. Now the team at The Feed has weighed in as well, with a mock 60 Minutes report into the seedy underbelly of…60 Minutes.
“Last night on 60 Minutes, we brought you the story of accused drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury and her sex worker past,” begins Mark Humphries. “It’s raised a lot of questions, like, why the fuck did you need to tell anyone about that?”
Later in the video, Humphries interviews a “producer” from 60 Minutes, who defends the Sainsbury report by saying that “being paid for sex is something people need to know.”
“And how much did you pay for interviews for that story,” asks Humphries.
“That’s something that people don’t need to know,” comes the reply.
