Excuse Me, Did You Know That Ramsay Bolton Was A Very Emotional Indie Musician?
Asking for a friend: is he more or less attractive now?
If you watch Game of Thrones, then you know that Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) is one of the most despicable, almost-needlessly evil characters on the whole show, right? It doesn’t matter that you find the actor who plays him strangely attractive in a way that you don’t like to talk about with anyone — that character overshadows everything else.
Well, that’s what I thought before I saw the video for Iwan Rheon’s 2013 single ‘Bang! Bang!’ in which he plays guitar, sings like an Ed Sheeran/Jason Mraz hybrid, and says things like “Pass the menu, for my mind must pick the food to feed a fool/You’re a different kind of decoration, ’cause you wear the room”. Sometimes he closes his eyes when he slaps his guitar, as if his feelings are weighing so heavily on him that he can’t even open his little eyelids.
What is happening.
Look, taste is subjective! It’s quite sweet to see Ramsay sitting alone and then trying to find a dancing (drunk?) lady in what looks like the least-crowded pub in the whole of the British Isles. I mean, good on him! Sure the finger-guns are a little much, and the line “Under pumpkin’s orange lights we both approached eyes” doesn’t make much sense even from a poetic standpoint, but he’s given it a real go!
If you’d like to see some more musical stylings from our least-favourite bastard in Westeros, look no further than his single ‘You Are In Me’, which also sounds like the kind of thing Ramsay would say before doing something absolutely terrible.
Just asking for a friend: is Iwan Rheon more or less attractive now? But you know, still in a problematic sense?
