While on the promo tour for her new film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Emma Stone’s consistently won the hearts of many. First, there was her total freak out over meeting Scary Spice (even if it was just via a pre-recorded video); then there was the time she got Spice-pranked by Graham Norton; and then there was that time she called out her BF, Andrew Garfield, for saying that sewing was “a feminine thing to do”.

If she hadn’t charmed you yet, she’s now landed the cover of Vogue, and it’s everything you’d hope for from the most adorable of celebrities. The magazine’s May issue features the standard inquiry into Stone’s relationship with Andrew Garfield, but there are so many more gems offered up by everyone’s favourite actress.

She’s A Self-Confessed ‘Basic Bitch’

Midway through the piece, Stone admits to Googling herself, which is apparently a thing that no one should admit to, ever. She tells reporter Jason Gay, “I don’t usually like what I find, but some of it is really funny.” Someone referred to her as ‘That Bland Basic Bitch’ (rough translation courtesy of Urban Dictionary is “a bum-ass woman who think she the shit but really ain’t”). True to her charming self, Stone “found it hilarious” and admits to now calling herself “That Bland Basic Bitch”.

She Loves ‘Build-A-Bear’

In typical profile style, Gay recounts how Stone came up with “the ruse that happens in many magazine stories, in which the writer and the subject agree to join up in a shared diversion”. Usually it’s a dinner, maybe a tour around set, or an invitation into their family home.

But Emma Stone is just a kid at heart, and takes Gay to ‘Build-A-Bear’ — home to many toddler parties, where, as its name suggests, you build your own teddy bear. Stone isn’t happy with any old bear, though: “I want to give my bear skinny jeans,” she says.

She Won Her Parents’ Support Via PowerPoint

You’ve no doubt heard the story before: a shy 15-year-old uses acting to “combat anxiety” and wants to move to Hollywood. Emma Stone won her parents support through what must have been an epic PowerPoint presentation, offering examples of successful entertainers who had started young. “Sarah Jessica Parker,” she recalls. “And, I think, the singer Michelle Branch.”

And then there was that time she auditioned for “a new Partridge Family reality show competition”. On YouTube, you can find a video of teenage contestant Emily Stone performing a touching duet of ‘We Belong’.

She’s BFFs With Bill Murray

While filming the upcoming Untitled Cameron Crowe Project with Bill Murray, Stone reveals that Murray “made a habit of bringing [her] small gifts: an umbrella hat, slippers, coffee, potato chips, a pie.” “He wants to take care of people. I just love him,” she says.

She’s Ended Up At Paris Hilton’s House. Twice.

When she was 17, Emma says she “went out out for a bunch of nights over a two-week period with a friend, drank loads of Red Bull, and somehow ended up at Paris Hilton’s house, twice.” That’s a whole eight years ago, so we’ll forgive her.

She’s also quite the sarcasm queen. “I had a nude selfie come out. Did you see that one?”, she told Gay during the interview, before reassuring her publicist that it wasn’t actually her. Good one, Em!
