"Trump, when it comes to giving a shit, you're stingy as I am."

Eminem launched a blistering attack on President Donald Trump, and some of his own fans, during today’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The musical guests and accompanying cyphers are usually one of the most anticipated parts of the annual BET awards and this year was no different. The event was hosted by DJ Khaled and featured performances from Cardi B, Migos, Gucci Mane and Rick Ross, though it was Eminem’s freestyle that stole the show.

His performance, titled ‘The Storm’, covered a wide range of topical political issues including the US’ relationship with North Korea, the devastating hurricane in Puerto Rico, the rise of white nationalism and economic policy.

Taking aim at Trump’s fiery militaristic rhetoric, Eminem rapped:

“But we better give Obama props

‘Cause what we got in office now’s a kamikaze
That’ll probably cause a nuclear holocaust
And while the drama pops and he waits for shit to quiet down
He’ll just gas his plane up and fly around ’til the bombing stops”

He also directly addressed Trump’s tacit support for white nationalism:

“Racism’s the only thing he’s fantastic for
‘Cause that’s how he gets his fucking rocks off and he’s orange”

“From his endorsement of Bannon
Support from the Klansmen
Tiki torches in hand for the soldier that’s black
And comes home from Iraq
And is still told to go back to Africa”

The Detroit rapper held nothing back and even laid into any of his fans that count themselves Trump supporters.

“And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his
I’m drawing, in the sand, a line
You’re either for or against
And if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split
On who you should stand beside
I’ll do it for you with this:
‘Fuck you!'”

The entire freestyle is pretty incredible and absolutely worth a watch. It’s a welcome return to form for Eminem, whose last number one hit was 2013’s ‘The Monster’ featuring Rihanna.

The last time Eminem made headlines was earlier this year when he decided to sue New Zealand’s National Party for using his iconic track ‘Lose Yourself’ without permission. The courtroom footage of the trial went viral, but without any hesitation I can say that today’s freestyle is even better.

Thanks for speaking up, Marshall.
