Download Festival Australia Drop Their 2018 Dates And Location
LOCK IT IN.
After months of speculation, UK juggernaut Download Festival has finally revealed the details of its 2018 Australian event.
According to its website, which just went live, Download Festival Australia will take place at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, March 24. There’ll be four stages at the event, with 29 bands scheduled to appear. The full line-up for Download will be dropped next Thursday, November 9.
As we reported last week, it’s looking mighty likely that Californian nu metal outfit Korn and Limp Bizkit will be headlining. Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland let slip as much in an interview with NME, when he answered a question about his band’s next moves with this: “I think Bizkit and Korn are doing Australia in March, and we’ll be doing a bunch of summer stuff.”
The festival is being backed by touring giants Live Nation, UNIFIED, and Secret Sounds (the folks behind Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.)
