The Muppets TV show has been met with a mixture of bafflement and despair, largely over its weird insistence on digging into the sex lives of a bunch of animal puppets. It’s a bit weird.
What.
Which is not to say that the ABC show doesn’t have its moments. In the latest episode, which aired in Canada last night, the closing credits featured a long-awaited drum battle between two of modern music’s greatest drummers — Dave Grohl, of Nirvana, the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age fame, and Animal, a Muppet that looks like an enraged dragon fruit.
Truly, a clash of titans.
