Confirmed: Steve From ‘Stranger Things’ Is The Father Of Jean-Ralphio From ‘Parks And Rec’
I knew it.
Of all the crazy theories that have emerged from Netflix’s Stranger Things, the best one by far is that Steve Harrington is actually the father of Parks and Recreation‘s Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. And you’ve got to admit, the evidence is pretty overwhelming. For starters, they’ve got really similar looking hair. Secondly, seriously, look at that hair!
Coincidence?!
In any case, it now appears that the theory has been confirmed once and for all.
Appearing on The Late Late Show in a segment dubbed Strangerer Things, Parks and Rec actor Ben Schwartz all but spelled out the secret of his character’s parentage, while also suggesting that Jean-Ralphio may have spent a part of his childhood living in the Upside Down – something that the Entertainment 720 co-founder was actually “super cool” with. He was also apparently childhood friends with the Demogorgon, which actually makes a lot of sense when you consider how he turned out.
Parks and Rec creator Michael Schur also weighed in on the conspiracy, and seemed to put the answer beyond all doubt.
